Wood Ducks Surveying Their Domain

Wood ducks are among my favourite Waterbirds due to the beauty of both male and the female. I also love that they are perching ducks that like to fly up into trees, but are equally comfortable in the water. These two are based on photographs by two wonderful photographers. The male is from a photo by Montrealer Lucille Shiro, and the female is from a photograph by Ottawa resident Michel Lanthier. I really enjoy taking different photographs and creating new scenes from them.
