A woman contemplates life as she either floats or sinks. As a symbol, trout represent hope, love and community. Fish in general represent freedom of movement, change, transformation, determination, flexibility, being hidden (beneath the surface). Fish also can symbolize fertility, feelings, creativity, rebirth, good luck, health, abundance, serenity, intelligence, happiness, strength, and endurance. Connecting us with the water element, a fish represents the deeper awareness of the unconsciousness or higher self.
