Immersed

This series of paintings is an attempt to reconcile my curiosity and passion for nature, water, and the narrative created by the interaction between figures and their environment.

My paintings stem from something personal: a desire for peacefulness, wonderment, longing, wanderlust within nature. Painting figures, sharing secrets, telling only a piece of the story and letting you invent the rest. These paintings crystallize a moment in time so it can be relived.

Immersed is a series of paintings that aims to capture the magic, mystery and mesmerizing qualities of the underwater world. I try to convey the dreamlike state of being underwater where light filters through the water’s surface, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The paintings invite viewers to immerse themselves with a sense of wonder and enchantment. Water is depicted as a transformative element. These paintings are my attempt at evoking a sense of tranquility and awe.
