Beings

My paintings are deeply personal expressions, born from dreams, longing, and wonder. I am drawn to depicting figures caught in quiet moments—sharing secrets, observing from a distance, offering only fragments of a story and leaving the rest for the viewer to imagine. These works are my way of reconciling the elements I cherish, weaving them together in a semi-cohesive narrative.
Many of my pieces emerge from ongoing long-term projects. One body of work, the “Dreamers” series, explores the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep. Another ongoing series focuses on to Goddesses, Faeries, and the ethereal creatures that inhabit folklore—Wood Nymphs, Sprites, and the like. These works celebrate feminine beauty, mystery, and power, while delving into the timeless stories embodied in the human form. The current series I am working on is “Voices for The Wild,” which honours the female environmental activists of Canada.
