This is a portrait of fellow artist Sarah from a photo taken by the talented Jonah Migicovsky. Goldfish encourage us to adopt a mindset of abundance and recognize the potential for growth in every situation. Goldfish are type of carp, domesticated nearly 2,000 years ago for use as ornamental fish in ponds and tanks. They were seen as a symbol of luck and fortune, and they could only be owned by members of the Song Dynasty in China. Now they are ubiquitous, but they still are a powerful symbol in some cultures.
